Electronics & Semiconductor Sector

In the electronics and semiconductor field, specialty engineering plastics such as PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), PEI (Polyetherimide), PI (Polyimide), PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide), PPSU (Polyphenylsulfone), PSU (Polysulfone) and PES (Polyethersulfone) play a pivotal role.

PEEK boasts excellent high-temperature resistance and electrical insulation properties, making it ideal for manufacturing components of semiconductor equipment. PEI, thanks to its good heat resistance and dimensional stability, is suitable for electronic connectors and chip packaging. PI features outstanding high-temperature and radiation resistance, which allows it to be used in the production of flexible printed circuits and high-temperature insulation materials. PPS has favorable chemical corrosion resistance and electrical properties, and is commonly adopted for housings of electronic components. As for PPSU, PSU and PES, their superior hydrolysis resistance and mechanical strength make them applicable for manufacturing various fixtures and pipelines used in the semiconductor manufacturing process.

For instance, in advanced chip packaging processes, high-precision connectors made of PEI ensure the stability of signal transmission. In the cleanroom environment of semiconductor manufacturing, pipelines crafted from PPSU can effectively resist the erosion of chemical substances. The application of these specialty engineering plastics provides strong support for the development of the electronics and semiconductor industry.
