Automotive Industry

In the field of automotive manufacturing, specialty engineering plastics are playing an increasingly vital role.

PEEK is widely used in components of automotive braking and transmission systems, owing to its excellent wear resistance, high-temperature resistance and low friction coefficient. PPS boasts good chemical corrosion resistance and dimensional stability, making it suitable for manufacturing parts around automotive engines, such as intake pipes and oil pumps. Meanwhile, PEI is applied to the production of automotive electronic connectors and sensor housings due to its high strength and heat resistance.

For instance, some high-end automotive brands adopt PPS-manufactured components in their engine fuel systems, which can withstand high temperatures and chemical corrosion, thus ensuring the stability of fuel supply. In electric vehicles, electronic connectors made of PEI are capable of stably transmitting signals in complex operating environments.

The application of these specialty engineering plastics not only reduces vehicle weight and improves fuel efficiency, but also enhances the performance and durability of automotive components.
